I would say great to be here with another edition of RICO Bronia, but it is not great to be here.

I said to Hoff, I said, let's not do a Monday version, a Tuesday version of RICO Bronia.

Let's give it a couple of days.

And then we'll have a brand new episode on Wednesday.

But the reason we are doing a new edition of RICO Bronia is because another day has gone by and another injury has hit New York Mets camp.

And so as you all know by now, this happened probably many hours ago.

Sean Manaya is dealing with an oblique and it is very, very likely, if not a certainty,

that he's going to start the year on the injured list.

So let's talk about it.

We will hear from you. We will read some negative emails, some positive emails, but I want to give you

my honest opinion on this situation. Number one, we have to make a choice as Met fans, okay?

Choice number one, and I have lived in this world, is to assume that any injury, any injury

is going to be worse than what the Mets are telling us.

And we've done this a lot over the years, more times than not being right, where the Mets

will say, oh, this is minor, it's only a couple of weeks. We assume the worst, and it turns out

to be the worst. So I think one's opinion on Sean Manaya and the state of the New York

Met rotation is really based on do you believe Carlos Mendoza?

Do you believe that Sean Mania's injury, his oblique issue, is only going to keep him

from throwing for a week or two, and he's a little bit behind to start

the season. If you believe that, if you think this is a minor-ish injury in which he's only going to

miss maybe the first few weeks of the season, then there's no reason to panic. I'd be the first
