I'm Anna Eliopoulos with your Fox True Crime Minute. He said his actions were disgusting and shameful

and that he is sorry, but a judge still throwing the book at Sean Diddy Combs, sentencing him in a New York

City courtroom to four years and two months in prison. With the time already served, the former

hip-hop mogul will spend three more years behind bars.

He was also fined half a million dollars.

Combs was facing up to 20 years for two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution.

The defense was asking for a sentence that almost amounted to time served.

Despite the roughly eight-minute apology in court, the judge saying he was unconvinced that if Combs was released, he wouldn't commit the same crimes again.

He was acquitted back in July of the most severe charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, which could have carried a life sentence.

The defense has indicated they plan to appeal.
