I'm Gianna Jalosi with your Fox True Crime Minute. Sean Diddy Combs has filed a $50 million

defamation suit against a grand jury witness he claims is spreading lies about him for media attention.

Courtney Burgess started making the rounds last year when internet chatter about Diddy started ballooning.

In October, he testified in front of a grand jury in the Diddy case and then went on a News Nation program alongside his lawyer,

saying he had been given videos that showed the rapper

and sexual encounters with celebrities saying some people appeared to be minors, claiming the

source of the videos was Kim Porter, the late mother of Diddy's kids. Burgess, the lawyer,

and News Nation are named in the lawsuit, which says the videos don't exist, and that Burgess

was, quote, fabricating outlandish claims and stirring up baseless speculation

that caused reputational harm. Combs is facing sex trafficking and racketeering charges and more than

30 civil suits alleging sexual abuse. He's pleaded not guilty with a trial date set for May.
