You know, it would be much better if Terry McClure hadn't re-injured his. That was just such a tough break. I was glad Terry at least bawled out and reminded the world the kind of player he is. I mean, the touchdown catch was so sick, as was the play that he got hurt on, that catch down the sideline. If you go through and look, listen, we're not making excuses.

We're not on the team.

I think you've got to be on the team to be making excuses.

The injuries have just been so significant for this team that they are certainly a part of the picture when you explain the overwhelming first half of the year.

Certainly.

But I'll throw this to you, and we haven't talked about this yet. I think if Jane Daniels is playing in that game on Monday night against the Chiefs, I think the outcome might be different. I think you go into halftime with the 17-7 lead or a lead of some sort, and then the defense- You're at least getting points off the two-tariff. And you're playing from ahead. That's been the biggest thing with this team is the defense has been bad early in games. And then when the defense hasn't been bad early, the offense has. They got to find a way to get it all together at the same time. Play with the lead that allows you to be a little more creative than what you do defensively. It allows you to run the ball a little bit more on offense. I think there are points that you can take from different, there are pieces that you can take from different points of this season and see where good football can be played with this commander's team. Yeah, man. So I look at it a couple different ways. And there is some good news. It looks like Jayden's going to be back on Sunday, which is massive for this team. You can't understate what Jane Daniels does for this team, right? But you look at the first half against kC and there was an inspired effort i think

Patrick mohom said after the game we didn't match their intensity in the first half and that is a

huge compliment to washington in the second half however kC was able to increase their intensity and

they just dominated the second half let's not sugarcoat that but like you can look at the first half

be like that's so cool Washington was able to show up up and really show who they could be. But the flip side of that coin is, why can't you do that all the time? And is that player driven? Is that coach driven? Yes, there are injuries, but there were injuries Monday night. The dudes that were out there performed at a higher level than really we'd seen in a while.

Yeah, and listen, I think that you can look at, you know, playoff percentage chances and whatnot and sitting where they are right now. I think the percentage is 8%. But this is a team that is it

that has upside. You haven't seen this team play in full together. Terry and Jaden have only played

together twice this season.

Jayden's been injured two separate times. You know, maybe... Debo missed time. Noel Brown's missed everything just about... An entire D-line has been decimated, defensive ends. But you look at the way the defense played Monday in the first half. You look at the last three quarters against the charges with that defense. If you can get that kind of intensity, that kind of play from them,

and Jada now is back in the fold, I think you look at a team that can be playing much better football than they are. And while we may look at the Seattle game on Sunday and then the Lions game next week as two really high mountains to climb, I think it's doable because we've seen this team do it in the past. And I'm not saying...

We've seen them do it last year.
