This is the Seahawkers podcast, a special Christmas Day episode, and I am joined by my good buddy, E.J. Snyder, good buddy and Chicago Bears fan as our Seattle Seahawks in week 17 are going to Chicago and taking on the Bears,

E.J. Merry Christmas to you. Thank you. I'm glad that we get to start with something pleasant

and happy and not talking about the Bears because it is not pleasant and happy, but it's a gift

for you and your fan base. You get to go to Chicago.

Should not be that difficult to get a win right now. It appears that way because, well,

early on in the season, E.J., I mean, gosh, it started off so well. It was a promising four and two start for your Chicago Bears going into the buy week.

And now coming out of that biweek, if not won a single game.

What the heck is going on in Chicago?

One of the great mysteries in general, what is going on in Chicago and what happened specifically on the buy week?

Because the wheels fell completely off.

It was not, it was, I mean, Waldron ends up getting fired like Iber Flues ends up getting fired after him.

You know, Thomas Brown takes over. There's another little flourish where the offense looks really good for two weeks.

And then they're like, great, we'll make you the head coach. Nope. Immediately the wheels fall off.

They go to play the Niners, come out extremely flat, and everybody just kind of

throws their hands up at that point and goes, what in the world?

Like, there were games, certainly this year, even when Ibruf was still there.

Some of the divisional games, which were the things that got us really excited.

Like, they should have beaten all three of those teams.

They should have beaten the Vikings, the Lions, and the Packers.

And they lost all of those games in heartbreaking fashion.

And, but it was like, hey, we can play within this very talented division.

Weird thing about the NFC North, best division in football this year.
