Summary

The Seahawks delivered a gut-wrenching loss in overtime against the Rams, falling 26-20. In our live postgame reaction, we dive into the emotional rollercoaster that was Sunday's game. Despite a strong defensive showing, the offense struggled with turnovers, Geno Smith's three interceptions seemed to doom the team, but then he put together a comeback drive in the final two minutes of the game. We get into the debate over the decision to go for it in overtime instead of taking the points.

We also highlight standout performances, including a strong game from JSN and the defense's ability to keep the Rams at bay for much of the game. Special teams also get a nod for their consistency, including a blocked punt that could have tipped the game in the Seahawks favor if not for a third turnover. As the team heads into a bye week, we discuss the potential for changes and improvements, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Hello and welcome to the Seahawkers podcast live and un-catfish as the Seahawks losing overtime to the stupid catfishing Rams 26 to 20 a game where, gosh, it looked like at one point that

they weren't going to be in it at the end.

0:27.8

And then we end up going to overtime.

0:29.5

And somehow, Adam, I feel even more upset the fact that it went to overtime and then we

0:34.5

lose.

0:35.5

Oh, yeah, man.

0:36.3

Look, I'm not going to self-censor myself on this stuff.

0:39.9

Like, uh,

0:40.5

the Rams.

0:41.7

Like, I, I'm so sick of losing to that stupid franchise.

0:46.9

God, it's so frustrating.

0:48.8

And the thing is, is like, going into this game, I'm like, you know what?

0:52.2

Okay, this team's just going to be roller coaster all year.

0:55.7

And this isn't a serious team in terms of competing, you know, it's fine.

1:01.3

As long as they're competitive in this game, that'll be great.

1:04.5

They were even overtime competitive, quote unquote.

1:08.0

But at the end of the day, that's an extremely frustrating loss. In fact, so much so, Brandon, that like I asked you, is like, hey, let's start this 30 minutes late so I can organize my thoughts. Couldn't do it because all my notes, all my notes, these were in a notebook. And when they hit the touchdown in overtime, I threw it across the room. They all ripped out of the book. They're all out of order. I can't even tell you what happened in this absolutely wild roller coaster of a game.

1:33.0

Well, I'm sure we'll get a little bit of help from chat. I organized a few things that I know I want to hit on.

1:39.7

We've got Carly Perkins coming in first with the 499 Super Chat saying, how did this game

1:44.7

hurt me more than last week? I'm so bad at having low expectations. Good stuff happens and I

1:50.7

convince myself will win. It's easy when you get blown out like in that game against the

1:57.9

bills and and toward the end just you know it's over.
