Of course, nobody knew me and respect me.

0:15.5

So I was in the Wheel of Kigan for the first part and then I've been pushed out because nobody knew me and then you know

0:21.7

you need to get that respect it's the same in every event around the world I knew it will be hard

0:26.5

to be really competitive in the final that's why I decided to take some risk I just thought okay

0:32.2

you don't want to go, I go.

For those that might be new to our recaps, we typically kick things off with a little voice memos section sent in by non-pro participants and then usually shift to a couple of interviews with the pros, one male,

one female, to get some insights into the pointy end of the race. Before we dive in, I should give a quick update of my own. Many of you all will know

1:13.8

1:49.9

hips go, my hip fracture is marginally displaced, um, a marginally displaced fracture of the greater

1:57.0

trocanter to be specific, which is sort of best case scenario is hip fractures go, I guess.

2:04.2

We haven't totally ruled out surgery yet, but as of now, it's looking very unlikely, which is a

2:10.1

relief. And there's, yeah, I would say overall a positive outlook, though still some

2:16.8

details to kind of get sorted out.

2:20.6

We do know that there's no realistic chance of being on the start line for unbound,

2:25.4

which under the new Grand Prix rules of only one drop race doesn't technically eliminate me

2:32.3

from the series, but definitely mathematically takes me out of the running for a top overall finish.
