I'm Mark Stephen. It's kind of windy here today as you can probably hear.

We build the Scotland Outdoors podcast from the live program we do for BBC Radio Scotland called Out of Doors.

And this week it featured possibly the least mysterious mystery bird we've ever had.

In this morning's wildlife encounter on route into the car park here in BBC Aberdeen was an odd one.

I got into Aberdeen proper and then onto Hilton Road and there's almost like a sort of avenue of former council houses built in the 1930s

really solidly built houses, nice places.

Cars part to either side,

really quite, you know, watching what was going on

and a fox just slowly walked in front of the car

stopped on one of the wee patches of grass

and look at me going past and off we went. I'm Mark
