Let me try to sketch out for you what my part in this conference will look like tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday

so that you can see how things fit together or at least are intended to.

Tonight I want to make a case that the Bible is the greatest book in the world.

No competitors, really.

Sunday morning, I want to make a case that Romans 8 is the greatest chapter in the Bible and in between

with the help of the screen and the text and the pen.

Unpack as many of these glories from Romans 8 as we can and work inductively

to the big conclusion of Sunday morning.

So that's the plan.

So three sessions in Romans 8 tomorrow

and the big climax of why it's the greatest on Sunday morning. But tonight, the book, this, the

greatest book in the world.

So my aim in this message is to awaken and deepen

and intensify your love for the Bible as a divine gift that is absolutely

essential, indispensable in accomplishing God's ultimate purpose in the universe.

Namely, that he would be supremely glorified in the white-hot intensity of the everlasting joy of his

redeemed people in himself through Jesus Christ.

The title of the message is scripture,

the kindling of Christian Hedonism and it has two parts. The first part will
