Consider this word from the psalmist.

How precious to me are thy thoughts, O God.

How vast is the sum of them?

If I would count them, they are like the sand.

Now how much sand is there?

There are all the beaches in the world.

Then there's the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean and the Arctic Ocean.

And then there's the Sahara Desert.

There's a lot of sand in the world.

If I would count the sum of your thoughts,

they would be like the sand.

And I believe that many thoughts are in the Bible.

One thing that stands out listening to this is the psalmist's wonder.

God's thoughts, how precious, how vast, more than the sand.

And Piper says that's exactly what fills the Bible.
