This is Scripture Centrals. Come Follow Me Ins insights. This week, Acts 6 through 9.

As we jump into these chapters this week, perhaps a question for us to consider is,

how do we know when we're on the Lord's errand and seeking and recognizing and acting on His will. If you've struggled with that or questioned

your own ability to receive revelation and follow it, this is an amazing set of chapters

where we see example after example of people doing just that having to move forward in faith, trusting the Lord.

So we begin in chapter six with a little bit of a problem because the church has grown,

and it's not an official church, it seems at this point. It's a gathering of disciples. They called

themselves the way or the saints.

So this group of believers is growing so quickly that we find some problems arising. Here in

verse one, it says, in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose

a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews because

their widows were neglected in the daily administration. So the Grecians would probably

be these Jews that have now joined the church, or this group of believers from the diaspora,

from out in the Greco-Roman Empire, they've now been baptized,

and they're complaining against the Hebrews, which would be the Jewish Christians who are

living in Palestine and in Israel. And the 12 apostles are saying, what do we do about this?

And what they say is, we need to find a way to organize that we can support the people
