This is Scripture Central's Come Follow Me Insights today. 1 Corinthians chapter 8 through 13.

Have you ever had the experience of looking around a ward or a stake or your family or a neighborhood or a work setting

and wondering what your real place is in that setting or feeling like maybe you don't fit in

or feeling inferior to everybody or perhaps even feeling superior to everybody or all kinds of

of mixtures of emotions that come when we make comparisons with other people.

This set of scriptures that we're going to cover today,

these chapters right here in the middle part of 1st Corinthians,

are going to help us address this issue of finding our place within a group,

within a whole or a collective,

and how to actually benefit that group rather than be

intimidated by or any other negative aspect that comes when we start making comparisons.

So this is a powerful lesson for helping us find our identity and to more fully love our neighbor

as ourself. And earlier, as we were getting prepared, you had a verse you wanted to share that

kind of exemplifies how Paul is trying to drive home this message of unity in a very diverse congregation or community.

Yeah, and perhaps that verse would best be portrayed with a little diagram is you have this

individual in a crowd. And verse 33 of chapter 10 says,

even as I please all men in all things,
