Oh, I love this case.

And this has to do with insurance policies.

And if you've been listening to this show for any length of time, I can't do a show without a question about an insurance policy.

Do they pay? Do they not pay?

I have a claim.

How do I handle it?

So this is about a family, the Dries family, that purchased their first home a week later, they leave for a week to visit family.

While they're gone, a squirrel falls down to chimney. The flu was left open by the previous owners, and the Dries family hadn't noticed.

So the squirrel has a week to run through that house.

And can you imagine, squirrel feces everywhere, scratched floors, chewed baseboards, chewed window frames door frames thousands of dollars the squirrel even

managed to run the hot water in the kitchen sink and leave it on for several days and it swam

in the toilet they didn't have a swimming pool and that's where the kid swim anyway and eventually

the squirrel burrowed itself in the new sofa where it built a nest so of, of course, they're putting in a claim, Mercury Insurance, which by the way is my

insurance company, I love them.

The adjuster said that they're not going to cover any of the damages because the squirrel is

a rodent.

And then he went on to say, if it had been a raccoon, they would cover the damages.

And now the argument begins, right?

Gee, that's not fair.
