I'm your host, retired NYPD sergeant, Bill Cannon, a 27-year

veteran of the NYPD. Today we have a super, super interesting show, a top, top writer.

There's the thumbnail. His name is Kevin Wade. For 14 years, he was the head head writer and as they described it, the showrunner.

I wasn't really familiar with that term of the show Blue Bloods that we all know, producing over

293 episodes of that amazing show that played on on television for that long.

Not only as he accomplished in that, but he's also accomplished as a Hollywood writer.

He wrote Made in Manhattan, Working Girl, and numerous other productions.

So we're going to have Kevin on as a guest today.

He's going to talk to us about the writing process.

What brought him to writing this novel, Johnny Careless?

And of course, we're so interested because it's a true crime station,

and we are the former Popo. So it's going to be

interesting for to see Kevin Wade's take on the real police. And I know he had a real

detective from the NYPD advising him along in writing and he thanked him in his book.
