Today we're getting into the adventures of Sam Spade with an adaptation of the movie,

which adapts the book, which adapted the serialized story that launched Sam Spade. The

multi-spoken was originally serialized in Black Mask magazine in 1929 and 1930. Then in 1930,

it was published as a regular novel and became a major hit as a book. It was adapted twice.

There was a pre-code version starring Ricardo Corkaz, and then there was the comedy version,
