Summary

Squad Up! We're closing out February with a nod to Black History Month and Women in Horror Month by looking at some badass Black women in Blaxploitation horror films. We go beyond Blacula and first up is Sugar Hill which uses the power of voodoo and Baron Samedi's zombies to exact revenge on the men who murdered her boyfriend. Next up, Abby is a woman possessed by Eshu, an orisha of chaos in this possession flick that Jamie and Chico find more interesting than The Exorcist. Finally, we dig into the gorgeous Ganja & Hess, a vampire film that might be the genre's finest achievement.
