One of the coolest experiences I ever had was 27 years ago for Veterans Day.

I was in Washington, D.C.

Oh, wow.

And I went to the tomb of the unknown soldier and also saw the Iwo Jima, what do you call it,

a sculpture?

Sure.

Whatever you go.

At sunset.

Oh.

One of the most moving things I have ever been a part of.

I was there with, well, she wasn't my girlfriend then, but Jess was there. And her roommate, we road triped out there. Oh, really? Okay. Because her roommates, well, we didn't know that at the time, but she was married to this guy, even though she called him her boyfriend. And he was stationed out in Washington, D.C. So we went there on Veterans Day. One of the coolest things I've ever done. It was just a very impromptu. Let's just go. Yeah, that's very cool. It was super cool. It was a great town. Yeah. And, you know, obviously, we didn't tour the White House, but we got a cool photo outside of the White House, outside of the Lincoln. It was very, very cool.

I was really glad we did that.

I have two male nephews, and one of them served in the military.

So today I spent a little time and sent him a thank you so much for serving text messages.
