Hello, I am Matt Williamson at Williamson NFL, recording this a little before 7 p.m.

on Wednesday. First of all, happy new year. The new league year arrived at 4 p.m. Still no sealer quarterback news, but there is news,

and I wanted to respond to three new additions to the team. And we will start with Kenneth

Gainwell. I like his pickup. I didn't see this coming. Kind of a different style back than they've had.

He's a reliable, good pass catcher, decent in protection.

It's kind of always been blocked.

I think he's better than Cordrell Patterson, that's for sure.

He's certainly much purer of a running back.

I assume he'll be the number three slash insurance for a rookie with Warren.

You know, if you use a third round pick on a running back, you got to make sure you can count on

him first before he's out there. And you want three guys that you can line up and play with,

you know, and I think Gainwell is perfect for that.

The contract numbers aren't out. I'm sure it's, I know it's a one-year deal. I'm sure it's a round

league minimum, a little better. This will be a theme today, too, but more Eagles. I mean,

the Steelers certainly like their Eagles, and we know Andy Whitel came from there, and hey, if you're going to poach from a team, that's a good one. They got a Super Bowl ring this year and a trophy, of course. So this isn't earth-shattering news, but I do think adding Gainwell gives you a little more of an explosive element, you know, some big pet

liability. I think he'll be your kick returner. Makes sense. Again, didn't see it coming. I'm

fine with having a solid player there that's your number three, borderline two. If you don't get a

guy that's a real difference maker in the draft. Who knows how that'll go.

So it's fine. Again, it's not earth-shattering. It's not all of a sudden going to put them in the Super Bowl or anything like that. But as soon as I saw it, I'm like, oh, that's a nice little
