Hello everyone. Matt Williamson here. How's it going? Things are good on my end, starting to warm up,

hearing up to go to the owner's meetings, which is a long trip, but fun., we'll be broadcasting there and all that good stuff.

But something I have been let slip a little bit here and haven't jumped on is all the

reported Steelers pre-draft 30 visits.

So I've got a list here, 12 names, something like that. I think that's all that's out

at this point. Some have happened. These are the ones, I guess, have already happened. And some of

the local ones, I don't know if you guys know the rules about local visits, but local visits

don't count. They're called 30 visits because you get 30.

So every team gets 30 of them. They have to report them. So like the bears will know who the

Steelers 30 visits are. The Steelers will know who the Ravens 30 visits are. That all gets sent.

And they actually come to Pittsburgh and you spend the day with them. But you also get these exemptions,

basically, of local players. So I forget what the radius is, but if you're from, basically

from Pittsburgh area, or if you are at Pitt, they're free. They don't count against the 30.

Okay, just want to get that out of the way. So the list I'm looking at, they brought in Carson Beck, quarterback Miami.

I don't love hearing this because I think he's going to be a fine backup and certainly has some ability, but I don't see a lot of sealing there.

I think he's going to cost a little more than I want to spend for a player of that nature.

And by that, I probably mean one of the Steelers' third-round picks.

I guess if you could nab them in the fourth,

I would have less reservations, obviously. But we've had this conversation a lot. I'm mixed

if it's even worth taking a mid-round quarterback. I'm pretty much out on Ty Simpson at 21.

I don't think, I can't imagine a quarterback that I would take in the second round.

Now, I'm almost certain Jerry Duleck put this out there and Jerry knows his stuff.
