Hello, hello, hello. I am Matt Williamson. How's everyone doing? Good. I hope you're doing as well as I am, no complaints. And we got that little bit of a column before the storm here with pre-combine. Things get real crazy to combine this time next week. I will be there.

Again, I'll give all kinds of stuff I'm hearing, all kinds of people we talk to. But this is not

my final answer on Fields v. Wilson. And I've said this a thousand times that I could be either

one of their attorneys and

make a pretty good case to Arthur Smith, Omar Khan, Mike Tomlin, Art Rooney, it's for my guy over

the other. But I'll be honest, as I record this on February 18th, I am leaning towards fields, but I don't feel super strong about it.

But I wanted to address something with the field situation. And it might not be something

you guys are aware of, is his contract could be really hairy. Why do you say that?

You know, well, the league has a void in quarterback contracts,

and I'll tell you more about it here in a minute.

When I first started thinking about this a month or so ago

or two months ago or three months ago, whatever,

I thought they would offer field something like

a two-year, $25 million deal, big chunk of it guaranteed, probably some incentives in there.

If you get to a Pro Bowl, if you get the team to the playoffs, if you play X amount of snaps,

blah, blah, blah, you could have some more bonuses.

But what I didn't realize is that's probably a little low, to be honest with you.

I mean, I think his agent will, I know his agent will want more and has a good case for more money.

And the fact is those contracts don't exist in the NFL. And a big way the contracts work, like in a lot of walks of life, is

show me a comp. Show me a guy a lot like Justin Fields in his career and show me his contract and we'll go from there.

I'll add 10% on it on inflation or whatever, you know.

But there really aren't any comps.
