How is it going?

Mandatory mini camp going on on the South Side this week.

By all accounts, again, I'm not down there, but talk to Brian Backo and, you know,

we've been dialed in here.

The, um, it doesn't sound like there are any no-shows.

I didn't expect there to be.

Don't get me wrong.

I don't think there's any unhappy campers with their contract or anything of that nature.

Um, there were some reports that Porter, Herbig, might not be doing everything just because

they could be in contract negotiations and darnow, Washington might also apply in this regard

too, that they just don't make sure they don't get hurt, you know, as you're doing

negotiation stuff.

It makes all sense in the world.

I don't think doing little as opposed to a lot at mandatory minicamp

is going to change the fate of Herbig Reporter for the 2006 season.

Coach McCarthy spoke as well.

Nothing super jumped out at me. Again, he's, I like the vibe down there,

and that's how all these mini-camps should be across the league is. This is a positive time

of the year. Rookies are learning. Everyone's getting to know each other. Sunshining.
