Hello, I'm Matt Williamson. How's it going? I am back from Wednesday's OTA practice, real hot one,

0:14.0

very spirited practice. This was definitely the most fast-paced, aggressive practice I've seen yet yet with the team drills, things like that,

0:22.4

of course, not blocking, tackling, et cetera.

0:24.7

But a really good one.

0:27.1

But unfortunately, the news since we talked last was the Donald Parham season-ending injury,

0:34.1

which you hate to see in OTAs.

0:35.9

I mean, brutal.

0:37.3

I guess the good thing for him is,

0:39.7

gives him a longer time to recover for next year.

0:43.6

But what are the Steelers losing in Parham?

0:46.8

First off, I don't know that he was even a short or roster spot.

0:50.9

I don't know that they had huge plans for him or were counting on him to be a major

0:55.1

part of anything. You know, see what he does. But I did kind of give him the front runner to be the

1:00.5

third tight end. He's unusually tall, but he's very lean. He's not a blocker at all. Just because

1:08.8

he's tall, he's nothing like Darnell Washington. Washington's

1:12.5

probably 70 pounds heavier and a way better physicality player blocker. Parham's got a real

1:19.5

long stride, kind of a giraffe look about him, high center of gravity. But he can get down the field. You know,

1:29.8

he's a build-up speed guy. He certainly can pluck the ball in the red zone. His height

1:37.4

works his advantage with long arms and can grab the football well outside his frame and red zone,

1:43.1

as I mentioned. But what this brings

1:46.2

me to is I think that tight end room, they're all very different, you know, somewhat by design,

1:54.3

I'm sure. Even, you know, Friermouth versus Washington versus Hayward, all couldn't be any more
