I hope you are enjoying the beginning of the weekend.

I'm recording this Friday, late, late afternoon.

I'll probably get back to you Monday unless something huge happens over the weekend.

Since we talked last, the Steelers had two departures.

Calvin Austin goes to the Giants and Connor Hayward goes to the Raiders.

Austin doesn't really worry me.

He kind of cancels out Brisker, who we're going to spend the most of this

conversation with in the comp game, but the comp game's only going to yield the Steelers

a six round pick or something like that. Um, I had thought more and more, as this has gone

along, that I would consider brought Austin back, um, in addition to either a first or second round receiver.

And it wouldn't have to have had to have happened after the draft.

But at this type of deal, I would have considered having him as my fourth slash punt returner, deep threat.

But no big deal.

He's gone.

Good for him.

I certainly wouldn't wait around if I was him either.

The Hayward one's more interesting to me, though.

Partially because he's Cam's younger brother, of course.

I just assumed he'd be back as the Steelers, but with the Steelers.
