This is the narrative so far following the oral arguments on birthright citizenship at the

Supreme Court yesterday, where for the first time a sitting president joined to listen in during

these arguments. And if one thing is clear, says the New York Times, Trump will lose the

birthright citizenship case. In a way, he's already won. Now, of course,

I believe the Constitution is on Donald Trump's side, and we have in this country, let me

describe it the way I put it last night, you've got Democrats setting fire to our house,

while Republicans review the lease agreement to make sure that's okay

or not okay. And then they go, well, it does say something about heating the home. Does that

qualify? I don't know. Let's debate it. Guys, they're not heating the home. They're burning it down.

And so after listening in these arguments,

it becomes clear that the Supreme Court is incapable of sustaining a nation. And you know what's true

and sad, really, is that it seems the ethos of many of those in the Supreme Court, well,

I'll give the liberals a pass because their ethos is burn America down.

But a couple of these conservatives, it seems that their moral philosophy on a nation and a people is that, quote,

if it is the structure of a country so that this country will be destroyed, then so shall it be.

Because that's how I paraphrase John Roberts when he was basically like, I see you've identified

things that will destroy this nation from the inside out. We all recognize that to be the case. So be it. Because it's more important

to be principled as I sink on this ship than it is to try and bail water to save this ship.

But again, my analogy on this would be like, we live in a house. We have a lease. The lease says something like it will be found

reasonable that either party may heat the home. So Democrats are splashing gasoline everywhere and

trying to spark the lighter. And the Republicans are going, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,

can we take a look at this lease agreement to see if that's okay? And you quite literally have the Solicitor General talking to the landlord or whoever, the head
