And today we're going to take a look

at the oral arguments presented before the Supreme Court.

In fact, the case in particular is Fisher versus United States, a case that could impact hundreds of January 6th defendants, cases as well as Special Counsel Jack Smith's election appearance case against

President Donald Trump. Basically Fisher is challenging a criminal

statute used by the federal government to charge them with obstructing an official

proceeding, which was the congressional certification of the electoral votes in the 20-20 presidential election.

Now one of the things that's interesting to note here

is that the obstruction charge is the one that's

that's the felony.

This is the one that's used to keep people in jail

indefinitely because the theory goes that you know if you've got potential

exposure even if you get pretrial credit or incarceration like many of our

J6ers have already done on the misdemeanors which are up to a year not

exceeding a year people like like Jake Lang, Ryan Sampson, John Mellis, the list goes on and on.

These folks would have already served their time if there was concurrent sentencing.

So it's the obstruction charge that is the one that they can basically say,

look, we can charge you for many, many years or we can sentence you for many many

years and so the confinement is not an issue well if this charge is thrown out

potentially is thrown out, potentially many, many sentences, many, many cases will be upended.

So that's one of the reasons why we want to go and listen to parts of this hearing.
