Critics are calling it legalized profiling.

The U.S. Supreme Court lifted a lower court's

restriction on so-called roving ice raids in Los Angeles. This all began when immigration

advocates filed a suit to block ICE agents from stopping people solely based on the language they

talk or where they might be standing. Tonight, the ruling is reverberating across the country.

As NBC bearers, Damien Trujillo, tells us it's already sparking fear among immigrants

here in the Bay Area.

Observers say it's palpable.

Fewer shoppers at cultural shopping centers like this one all across the country, and many

fear it will only get worse after today's Supreme Court ruling.

They used to be some of the busiest shopping centers in the Bay Area.

But now observers say people are too afraid to come out to these cultural grocery stores.

Labor, labor. There is a similar drop in day worker traffic at the San Jose Home Depot.

A lot of these guys are on edge though.
