moments, but let's begin this morning with the breaking news over at the Supreme Court.

Right now justices are hearing oral

arguments in two cases that could set a precedent on whether or not states can ban transgender

females from participating in girls and women's sports. Pam. The rulings here, Wolf, could

have major implications today. At least 29 states have laws or regulations in place that ban transgender students from participating in sports

according to their gender identity.

And this morning, two transgender women are challenging their state's laws.

In Idaho, Lindsey Hickox is fighting the 2020 Fairness in Women's Sports

Act. That law bans transgender females from taking part in women's sports teams at public

schools at all levels. And in West Virginia, Becky Pepper Jackson is opposing the 2021 Save

Women's Sports Act, which borrows transgender females from women's

sports teams in public secondary schools and colleges.

Both claim the laws violate Title IX, a federal civil rights law that prohibits sex
