Thanks for having me. What's so great about these things you do so often is that there's a central incident

from which everything comes out of.

And I've thought of these films as being basically the snowball rolling downhill

But basically, in so many things you've done, there's kind of an inexorable sort of momentum

I mean, you tend to not make judgments about this, but this truth is this force that will

through your work where that comes from.

I'm not entirely sure where that comes from. You know, I grew up in Minnesota and somewhere

along the line, I think I just became really suspicious of narratives that seem to leave out really important facts.

And as we move into, you know, a thing that I can't believe that people are comfortable

just saying, oh, this is now a post-truth reality, because I don't know what that means.
