Scott. You're welcome. And what were you doing in Kuwait in the first place?

My father was hired out there in the organ transplant unit. So he was an immunologist.

Hospital in Kuwait. Yeah, he set up with Dr. George Abouner. He set up the most successful

organ transplant unit in the Middle East for his time. So yeah, he was quite an intelligent

guy and he went out ahead of us. He actually left us, I believe, from my mother's story.

He left us and then called back six months later, called back about six months later

and said to my mother, you know, he wanted us to go out. And I arrived and never looked

back. But my mother and sisters arrived and then wanted to leave from the second they

arrived. So how long had you been out there? Well, I arrived when I was 11. So you moved

to Kuwait at age 11 from the UK, yeah, from Scotland, from Scotland, yeah. Okay, from

Edinburgh, yeah, where I think the reason we got interested in the Middle East is sort

of a few years earlier, my father had been in quite a famous sort of attempted murder

case. My father was a victim. And after he'd been seriously attacked, after when he started

to get better, he got sabbatical and he went to Tehran for six months, which was actually

the most wonderful six months of my life. And I went to the Middle East. And that's

I think where my dad first got to know people from the Middle East. So we'd spent some

time in Tehran. The murder case. Well, my father was a, he actually was one of the first
