We're off to a great start football season. We got my man Scott Van Pelt who not only

close friend but we know six plus years on the radio side together. We're gonna go abroad

midweek with Kevin Clark, Monza. I'm a clear and weekend and light advice. So enjoy.

You may have seen him on better days with Mike Greenberg. It is Scott Van Pelt who joins

us also the host of Sports Center. How's it going? Right out of the gate. Just right

out of the gate. We're good man. Right. We're good. How about you? I'm good. I don't know

where this is gonna go today. I think it's gonna go all over the place. Good. You know

what I want to start with is the unfortunate passing in Norm McDonald. This doesn't happen

very often but to have almost everybody on social media rowing in the same direction with

his brilliance and finding something that he did that they liked and look I don't care

what the topic is. Eventually there's always a Zag and look Norm wasn't afraid to probably

do some stuff that wouldn't be as well received today but I was like we got to meet him

once I think I you probably met him more than I did. We had him in studio one time and

he's just that guy like he cannot be funny and it's the funniest thing ever which is so

hard to do. I'm gonna pay you a compliment right out of the gate and say that and I didn't

know I don't know that I realized it at the time and in this wormhole that I've been in

since yesterday I realized we still had a lot of Norm McDonald and I mean here's what I'm

talking about. You commit to a bit and you don't care if if you're five minutes in and

you're like nope this isn't getting there. You're gonna stay with the bit like McDonald

would do a joke on Conan about a moth or about you know a dog house and it would just

get to the point where maybe it was uncomfortable for somebody else but he was gonna get to

the finish line and it would and it would pay off and I think the I think if you're great
