My name is Scott, I'm an alcoholic.

I can't thank you enough for inviting me down.

I just haven't a great time.

I feel and this is, you know, drinking is the most intimate experience I've ever had.

It was so intimate and so important to me that nothing could stop me.

I think that when alcoholics anonymous actually gets involved and actually stopping someone

from drinking, it's beyond description.

For those of us who know what it's like to not be able to stop drinking, even if you

want to, people who understand that, understand it.

That in the middle of the night, in between breaths, no matter what I've told you, no

matter how important it is for me to not drink, when I act without sense, without explanation

or without reason and I drink again, and nothing, nothing interrupts that process.

For this to interrupt that process is unbelievable.

So here, you know, we have a bunch of guys hanging out with their sponsor and hanging out with

one another and making them another demonstration of the kind of relationship that's necessary

to facilitate this incredible thing that in my case, nothing else achieved.

Not the love and dedication of children who adored me, of a wife who loved me, a family
