We saw him out at MedStar Capital's Iceplex yesterday during the Media Day scrum.

Good morning, boys. Happy Friday. Happy Friday to you as well. It was good to see you yesterday.

Yeah, I mean, twice in one week. I get to see you guys in the flesh and talk to you on the phone today.

It's great. How did it go? Well, your little one-on-one time with Ovi. It's like your ninth year, you said, doing it with him? Yeah, yeah, it was great. I mean, he's such a good sport. I mean, it's got to be, you know, kind of a crappy day for him with all those interviews.

It's like a car wash, one after one by one.

But, you know, he's in good spirits.

And I think there's a freeing aspect to the chase is over.

And now he can just focus on, you know, trying to win another cup.

And obviously the questions of, is he going to retire?

Is this if for him?

I'm sure that's annoying.

But Ovi still had that sense of humor and still was a pro and always appreciate it.

And I'm sure you guys feel the same way of chatting with one of the greatest athletes of all time.

No, it's very cool. I was just struck by how sort of soft-spoken he is. It just kind of blew me away. Was that your first time in person? In person, our first time. And, you know, especially the way he handled everything last year, you know, I get it that, you know, we've always been told, listen, he doesn't feel super comfortable, you know, with a lot of these interviews, but the way he handled that, you know, tying the record, and giving him the mic, and talking to everybody and shouting out Gretzky and shouting out, you know what I mean, shouting out Oshy and Baxter and the teammates and family and just the way he handled all that so well. It's just kind of shocking that he still is.

At the end of the day, it seems like, at least around the media, a little quieter.

I'm curious.

Did he show his personality a little bit with you guys?
