Scott McClellan was a highly regarded personnel guy when he came to DC didn't last year very long,

but he still runs a scouting service. And a lot of teams tap into McClellan's scouting work.

And he was a guest on the Algaldy podcast on Monday. And he had some interesting comments.

Number one, he's a big Sam Hal guy. Yeah, let's hear that. I don't think we have the audio. He said he proved

he would compete and would not back down his last year at North Carolina. I think that shows what

you want in a franchise quarterback, as for a manual Forbes. Like some like to him over Christian

Gonzales. A lot of people thought Gonzales should have been picked over manual Forbes.

He's skinny. I've seen several people say that they liked Forbes over Gonzales. One reason,

I don't know if you guys heard this, is Gonzales didn't necessarily impress a lot of people in

the interviews. Like they they question whether it's a dud. No, it's just that football is not

its priority for him. You know, like he has other interests. It's not something he burns.

Well, the football nerds hate hearing that. It's not the BLN and all for him. They're right.

It's too well-rounded. Yes. They don't want a well-rounded guy. Well, McClellan's house was also

projected by most people to go top 10 or 12. He's slid and he's slid all the way to 17, right?

The Patriots took him right after that. One pick after Forbes.

Well, McClellan says is ball skills change a game. But you do have to worry about his durability.

You have to. It's not that he backs down from contact. It doesn't want to. It's just physically

can he hold up. But he has excellent coverage skills. His excellent athlete has excellent ball skills

as a game changer. He said it thinks it's a really good pick. So for what it's worth,
