When I was young, like when I was a teenager, then through college and all throughout my 20s,

pretending I had life figured out as a then-married woman, I loved the first of the month.

I loved flipping the page of a calendar, having to practice patience to not look at what the

photo for the next month was, but waiting into the first of the month to just experience

the newness.

And now everyone around me used to say, like, oh, the first month, my rent's due, my car

payments do, my bills are due, I don't like oh the first month my rents do my car payments do my bills are due

i don't like this uh another month to scrape by and survive those are the the messages i had to grow up

around but i always loved it and i thought well that's just my little secret thing so i used to have like

four calendars on my desk and on my wall because I love

switching calendars. I think my mom could attest to this that even when I was little, she would

keep calendars on the fridge and whatnot. And by the phone plugged into the wall, whoa. And I would

always, first in the month, wake up and go flip those babies. I just like the

feeling of transformation. I used to look at every month as a new beginning, a chance to achieve

new things, see new things, experience new things. It was exciting. I couldn't wait to see what

happens. And if there was a planned event,

even better coming up that month. So we're going to talk all about transformation and the power
