Welcome back to Chicago where Scoot Henderson is here on NBA today projected top three pick in this draft. So let's start right there. I'd love to go.

The NBA draft is less than a week away and everyone expects French phenom Victor Wemmiama to go first overall. Everyone that is except one very confident guy.

Scoot Henderson became the youngest pro player in U.S. history when he joined the G League two years ago at age 17. And now he expects himself to be top one in the NBA draft.

Today Mike Workinod from the athletic breaks down the steps that Henderson has taken as a player and as a businessman to guarantee NBA success and just how far his self belief could carry him. Of course. So Mike today we're here to look at Scoot Henderson and the really intense way that he's been preparing himself for the NBA for years now on and off the floor even though he's only 19 years old.

So first for anyone who hasn't watched this guy play. Can you just give us a snapshot of him as player?

Scoot is definitely one of the most dynamic NBA prospects to come into the league in a very long time. He's a 6-2 super athletic guard.

On the take Henderson. Oh my goodness.

He's a 6-9 defender that's above the rim and it does not matter.

I've had NBA executives compare him to some kind of assimilated John Wall or Russell Westbrook or Derek Rose.

You know we talked about Scoot. We talked about his ability to choose to 3 and he's a complete player but his game is the 15 footers, the floaters and hitting all the way to the basket.

Derek Rose and MVP winner Russell Westbrook and MVP winner John Wall a very good point guard in the NBA for a long time in a former number 1 pick.

And as much as he likes those comparisons he doesn't want he wants to be a one-of-one.

He wants people to say they've had a Scoot Henderson like career.

And I think that's the beauty about me and beauty about me. You know being a Scoot Henderson. I'm an attacker, I'm a facilitator and I could do a lot of things on the floor.
