Hi, everybody. Welcome to Scoop on Monday, September 15th, and I want to welcome everyone from all

over the country and all over

the world, as is our reach on Smarter News. I heard a very interesting commentary that I wanted to

share with you off the top that I think will resonate with so many of you. And it's also a way to

congratulate you on what you're building here at Smarter News. So it was a very smart conversation. It was over on the free press, which is an independent news outlet that's

surfaced in recent years. And it was a podcast that was taped in the following hours and days

after the murder of Charlie Kirk. And we're going to spend the bulk of our time today talking

about that news story while also sprinkling in a little bit more. But I believe this is where

many of you are interested in today. And so unlike our typical scoops where we really try to

make sure that we cast a really wide net, we're going to cast a wide net, but we're going to

quickly turn to Charlie Kirk. One of the things that was said in this podcast is as there were

those that were reflecting on what does this moment mean for America. One of the writers and

contributors that was on the podcast said in conversation, and that's why I want to credit the broadcast for it, that this was a moment

for those in the center to speak up, to make sure that they're of a greater posture, that oftentimes

when someone doesn't have strong political ideation, when they're not right

or left, they're center, they're thought of as not really having an opinion.

You know, you're so neutral, there's no opinion.

But really, that needs to be channeled into the center becoming chic and more cool and more outspoken for love of country and for information

and curiosity that we need to make the center the cool kids. And as I'm listening to this

conversation, I was like, I think we've already done that over at Smarter News. I'd like to

raise my hands. I know a lot of cool people over there that are doing really interesting things
