Hi everybody, welcome to Scoop.

A great way to start your week is to spend a little time together as we take a look at the big news stories that are in front of us.

And we are marking a special moment this week.

And it's an arbitrary moment, but it's still special in many respects because since January 20th,

the talk has been about the first 100 days in office for the Trump administration.

And listen, I'm not going to go too far down that road right now because it's day 99.

Okay, but that's what's going to happen this week.

There's all this talk about 100 days.

Why do we care about 100 days?

There's actually a history to it.

I will share it tomorrow.

But here we are.

We have gone through, you know, a certain period of time during this administration

where you have the first 100 days and then you have the rest.

And one of the significance of this moment, and it bears repeating, even as we go throughout

this week and possibly even into the next, is that when

you're part of that first 100 days and you're covering it as a member of the media, you're

participating it as a member of Congress, you're looking at it from the public perspective,

there's somebody else that's still in the background, and that's the previous administration.

After that mark of 100 days, then it really truly becomes your administration, whatever that is.
