Hi, everybody. Welcome to Scoop. Here's the scoop for the week ahead as we launch into a whole new month. I don't want to skip ahead over Halloween

too much. I am wearing my tiger print so I can easily put on a pair of ears and go out tonight.

This was part of the strategy. I have a monster truck in my household, an army man, and a fairy

princess queen, just an excuse to wear a really big hoop dress that we can't actually

get into a car and a set of wings for my daughter. So we're going to be out trick-or-treating a little

bit later. It's a big deal in our neighborhood and where we are here in Texas. And believe it or

not, some of the schools are actually shut down today. The teachers got smart and they shut down the schools.

There's like parent teacher conferences. And then the teachers also kept the kids out of school

tomorrow, which is equally as smart. I think they just realized there's no way. They're not

dealing with the kids after this. Just go have a good time, which I appreciate. I don't know

if it's going to be the case when Halloween is in the middle of the week, but perhaps there's a trend starting. And the teachers were just like, you know what? We've gone through a pandemic. We've done all these things. We're not going to deal with the kids after Halloween. So that's what's going on in our neck of the woods. Hopefully you're having a good start to your week. This is an exciting week to cover the news. There's a lot going on, and we know that we'll see a lot of news come in throughout the week. Where we're starting off, isn't where we're going to end up. We know that's true always, but we have a couple really good marks. You know, this is the final day of October, so we're going to be in a new month. You have to change your clocks this weekend. Don't forget that. Easy way to be late

to church or wherever you're going on Sunday. So remember that your clocks get reset middle of the

night, Saturday into Sunday. And we're going to be even closer to the midterm elections. So a lot
