Tonight, for Valentine's Day, the science of seduction.

Cupids chemistry will be finding out how you can push up your pulling power on the dance floor

because here to join us is pheromone expert and sense of smell

expert from the University of Bristol, Peter Brennan.

And we're also going to be joined this evening by, also from the University of Bristol, in fact,

Peter Barham, who is a physicist, but he's also an expert on how things

taste, in other words molecular gastronomy, why different combinations of foods taste the way they do,

and in fact we'll be finding out from him why toothpaste and orange juice is a disgusting

combination not that you'd actually be advised to eat it but why is it that when you do

have those things they do taste so disgusting we'll also be catching up with how

scientists at the Manel Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia,

U.S. are going to make life a smell of a lot better if you live downwind of a pig farm because

they've found a way of improving the odeer of manure. That's Charles Wasockey and he's coming up shortly.
