With all that said, let's dive into the episode for this week.

All right, well, in this episode we're going to be exploring and focusing on a specific topic

that has been really controversial in modern Western culture, and that is the tension,

or at least the apparent tension between science and religious faith. A flashpoint in

modern Western culture has been this debate between the scientific account of the origins

of life or the origins of the universe and the beliefs or convictions

held by Jewish and Christian religious communities about creation, God as a creator of the

universe and of all of life. How and wind and by what processes did all that happen? This was

never a burning question for me, personally.

When I was a brand new follower of Jesus, I just kind of figured those problems all had a solution.

I wasn't really concerned about them. When I went to the University of Wisconsin and Madison to do my

PhD studies in Hebrew Bible, I ended up at a church community that had professors
