Demonstrators led by a progressive Jewish group gathered to support

Mahmoud Khalil, the Palestinian activist,

whom the Trump administration wants to deport. About 1130, when all this started to unfold. Now,

as you mentioned, about 200 demonstrators organized by the group Jewish Voice for Peace. You can hear

them chanting there, entering Trump Tower. That's the same area actually where president trump first made the

announcement in a run for president in twenty fifteen police say that they came

in from two different entrances in dark coats and they took off the

coats and they were all wearing a red shirts uh... with a lot of them with

the saying the same saying saying bring Mahmood home now.

Of course, they're referring to Mahmoud Khalil, who was detained by ICE over the weekend.

He's in Louisiana now, as his case makes its way through the courts.

They are upset that he's being detained.

He's a Columbia University grad student that was helped organize a lot of the pro-Palestinian

protests on the Ivy League campus there.
