only in Punch Bowl news. Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries met in Brooklyn Sunday as Democrats deal with the fallout from a government shutdown fight that expose bitter internal divisions

over how to take on Donald Trump. You'll remember, obviously,

and if you don't, you were paying attention last week, that last week, Chuck Schumer voted

for cloture to advance the House Republican written CR, that government funding bill that

averted a shutdown on Friday. He is under incredible pressure, incredible

criticism for that vote and for that decision. Now, Hakeem Jeffries returned to Washington from the

Democratic retreat in Leesburg, Virginia to effectively criticize Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats who were voting

for that CR. The Jeffries people were absolutely convinced that this was a fight Democrats

would want, Democrats wanted, and would win. And they met yesterday in Brooklyn. The stunning

thing is to, you know, that they are both from Brooklyn. They are both

close. They both talk about, or at least Democrats talk broadly about how their unity on decision
