Summary

After a challenging year for children's education, it's no surprise school choice is finally getting traction. Today Corey DeAngelis joins me to discuss why. Parents this past year have been sending their children to charter schools and homeschooling in hordes. Public schools are indoctrinating our children and receiving more and more funding, but teachers still have to pay for their own school supplies. Their unions are in the political pocketbook. Every parent should have the right to send their children to the best school for them,  and Corey DeAngelis is here to speak on how we can make this happen.

Hey guys, it's Haley. Welcome to Kindled. Today I have an excellent episode with Corey DeAngelis,

0:53.3

all about school choice, what it is, how it works, and how it could change the way that education is done in this country. Before I get into that,

0:56.5

I want to let you know about a couple announcements. First of all, as always, love when you're able

1:02.3

to leave a review for Kindled. If you have never done that, you can click over to the podcast app

1:06.6

and leave a star rating and a few words about why you listen. That helps the show be found so much,

1:12.7

and I really appreciate it. The next thing I want to let you know about is our growing Patreon

1:16.9

community. And this is where I release bonus episodes every single Friday, do live Zoom calls

1:22.7

once a month. And it's also the only place that I'm going to be publishing new content over the summer.

1:30.8

So this is the first time I'm announcing this, but I am going to take a summer break from publishing

1:35.4

these Monday episodes on Kindled. I've actually done this every year since I started. And I've

1:40.8

taken off June and July. That is my plan this year as well. It could be August, just depending on how the summer goes. I really need that break, love that break to get recharged and reenergized for the coming year. And given that I publish weekly year round, other than that, it's really essential for my

2:03.0

mental health, time with my family, time with my kids, and time to just not be creating

2:08.7

content, but to be living life. But I am going to continue publishing weekly episodes on

2:16.8

Fridays over in Patreon.

2:19.9

So if you want to continue hearing from me over the summer, that's the place to be.

2:25.5

And we'll be continuing our live Zoom calls.
