It is time to get excited about this thing. It's coming. It's almost here. The NCAA tournament is over. all I'm thinking about is the draft right now.

And so on this show, I'm really excited for where we're headed because as we've done the past few seasons, I think three or four in a row, we're putting out a shit ton of content in the month of April. So you guys can get excited about that. And I just today book two really important interviews for this show, guest interviews that we love to have on. And a third that I'm looking at my DM now seems to be very close to getting locked in. So we're going to have three people on the show in the next two weeks. I would say maybe more. I'm going to start doing that process reaching out. I want to get as many people as we can get on to talk draft, to give outside perspective, Nick, and to talk about these prospects. And we'll work our way through. We've done Ward, but Sanders is coming very shortly this week. And we're going to work our way through all the options at three. And then we're going to work our way through 34 and all the other picks like we always do, Nick. So it's an exciting time of year, man. I'm excited to talk football with you. There's a lot of possibilities for the New York Giants. We got dueling mock drafts that will be coming up as well. That's a big thing Dan and I do every year. It's a lot of fun. So we'll try to construct teams, be the general manager. What would we do? Our sleepers.

It's one of my favorite. It's so fun. And today's show is going to be a little different. We're going to talk about general manager, Joe Shane. He had two things. He is at the NFL owners meeting. So he spoke briefly with Giants Beat reporters. Not a lot of that was publicized, Nick. I did a lot of searching on X to find it.

But what we did get, which we all to talk about today, is Joe Shane had a Q&A with Giants.com revealed a lot of interesting things. So I want to first start here, Nick, with what he said to the reporters.

And the first thing that he said that stood out to me was a confirmation of something that we

weren't sure of, but we kind of felt was possible. He said Russell Wilson will start by getting

first team reps with the starting offense when the players arrive in a few weeks for the start

of OTAs. So I think it's confirmation because I don't think

he would have said this otherwise that Russell Wilson will be the first team starter for the Giants at QB1 until further notice. It doesn't mean he'll be that way all year. But I don't think this is going to be an open competition. I think it's going to look a lot like 2022 and 2024, where in 2022, tie rod was signed, but did not get any, many, if any, first team reps.

And then last offseason, 22 and 24, where in 22, Tyrod was signed but did not get any, many, if any, first team reps.

And then last offseason, Drew Locke was signed, but did not get any first team reps.

So it's going to be Russ's job.

Yeah, I'm not surprised by that with the contract that Russell Wilson received.

And especially since we also learned that the Giants wanted to sign Russell Wilson
