how you get into this area of work and then we'll go into what you do today at the clinic.

Absolutely, yeah. So I've focused on serious mental illness

SMI throughout my training. Throughout grad school I worked in hospital settings working with folks inpatient and carried that into my internship and postdoc and my postdoc which was a joint program between UCSD, University of California,

San Diego and the VA that we have here in San Diego. And I had a specialized postdoc in working

with folks with psychosis and schizophrenia specifically.

So it was a program that did treatment as well as research, program improvement, things like that
