So, Berto, lately I've been doing some episodes on schema therapy that are for patrons only.

And I did a long four and a half hour deep dive

into schema therapy a couple weeks ago, a few weeks ago.

And I never really knew the model of schemy therapy.

It comes with it a pretty robust theory that was developed in the 80s and 90s and 2000s.

So it's a fairly contemporary theory compared to other theories that we have available

to us.

And I'm really starting to like it because it fits with the way I think about humans and

about personality.

But it provides this very specific language and a system of walking ourselves or our clients

or other people through to really flesh out, you know, there's

certain things we talk about on this podcast where it's just like, okay, I have an

issue with X or I went through this with my dad and therefore I

have an issue like this. And it's kind of an amorphous understanding, there's an amorphous

description.

With schema therapy, they provide this very specific language to the schemas,

and they also provide this very specific system of understanding the full breadth of that issue.

It's like a, it's a description of an issue I guess.

I guess it'd be like saying something, you know, like something in the physical world, it'd be like saying something you know like something in the physical world

it'd be like okay that's a car that went down the road whereas it's like okay how

about let's open the hood you know there's four wheels there's an engine
