It's a week or so since filming wrapped in Ibiza.

The contestants are laying low at home and Miriam is hiding out in New York City.

Meanwhile, in South London, executive producer Gavin Hay, his partner Remi and Dom,

have to take all of the footage and make it into a show worth watching.

But with hundreds of hours of tape, it isn't going to be an easy task.

The edit was frustrating as I remember there were a lot of voices, a lot of meddling, a lot of different opinions about what the show should be.

What did it all amount to? Was there anything to learn here?

Gavin and Remi had hoped from the beginning that the show would be focused on the dynamics between the guys.

What they called a sensitive and nuanced exploration of male sexuality.

But to Dom, that seemed silly.

There was a push with me on one side saying that this is just entertaining and funny and shocking and others trying to turn it into something about sexuality and how it happened.

Side note, men who date trans women are not gay.

I thought, well, I don't think it is that because these guys have had the world pulled over their eyes.

With arguments going back and forth, progress on the edit has been slow.

Cracks are starting to show. People are just worn out.

I'd had enough of it by then. I mean, I hated the fucking show.

But at this point, they've just got to get the job done.

So each day, they go again.
