So Sean, I have officially started working on the next book in the Threshing series, which

I'm just calling the Burning for now, just so I have something to call it other

than the second book in the threshing series.

And so my homework last time was map out the beginning hook and then write the first scene.

And so I wrote an entire first scene and it was super boring.

And I just remembered how some of the feedback I've gotten on the threshing is how much people

have liked just the pacing and how there's so much movement and action.

And I just remembered all the times I would write a scene or a sequence and you're like,

okay, now go make it interesting.

You know, like, you know, you use the example of like the first episode of bad men where

instead of them just meeting for coffee and having a conversation, he like walked her

through the office.

So there's always movement.
