The summer of 2022 was a warm one as far as summers in Alberta go.

During COVID I had taken up hiking as a means of both passing the time and keeping myself in some semblance of good shape.

Now that the pandemic and its related restrictions had largely abated, I had grown so fond of my hiking expeditions that I began to retain it as part of my regular activities.
