1:05.0	This story happened in South Lake Tahoe, California about seven years ago.
1:11.6	I grew up in Northern California and since I was a kid, me and my family always visited Tahoe. I was very fortunate and grateful because my grandparents, on my dad's side, owned a cabin there.
1:17.6	This will seem random, but it's important to have this context.
1:21.6	My parents ended up divorcing when I was about 12 years old,
1:25.6	and when this story takes place, I was probably around the
1:28.7	age of 14. Anyway, this was one of the first times since the divorce that my mom wanted to visit
1:36.3	Tahoe. But she didn't want to stay at the family cabin because it was connected with my dad.
1:42.0	She ended up having a stay at the Harvey Hotel and Casino. I thought it
1:46.6	would be a fun adventure outside from what I had known, up until that point, which was that we would
1:52.5	always stay at the cabin whenever we visited Tahoe. It was just me and my mom having some nice
